with 1x systems development, cassettes are getting bigger and bigger, provides a wider range to shift. So we decide to develop our own wide ratio cassettes.
This cassette is the perfect solution for riders that dont want to resort to an expensive expander sprocket and those who want an advantage compare to competitors.
The Balance Between Weight and Cost-Performances
After thousands time of trial and error, we finally came up with a new design and successfully decreased the weight of 11 speed 11-50 HG splined freehub type cassette to astonishing 350 grams and we also find a right way to control the price and the quality. Now, you can save nearly 300 grams of weight without emptying your pocket.
The Earlier Thoughts.
Talking about lose cassette's weight, the first thing we came up with somthing like this. A CNC machined spider and some steel cogs riveting on it. This is might be a cheaper solution, but larger cogs would still be quiet heavy. The weight could go up to 580 grams, even that is better than orginal 660 grams, but we are not satisfied.
The Idea Of CNC Larger Cogs.
After studing a lot of famous brands, we are start to looking into a one-piece full CNC solution. Full steel design is the best solution for the strength and durability, but full steel cost a lot. Then we consider the full aluminum design, but use aluminum alloy to make smaller cogs could make cassette easy to wear out. So we decide to only use aluminum alloy to make larger cogs.
Smoother Gear Ratio
Instead of traditional 11-13-15-18-21-24-28-32-36-42-50 gear ratio, now we changed to 11-13-15-18-21-24-28-32-38-44-50. With a smoother gear ratio, it will be easier for rear derailleurs to shift.
Full CNC Machined 7075 Aluminum Lockring
Not only beautiful anodized color,these lockrings could be extra lightweight and strong.
*It is made of high tensile steel and made by the technology of quench-temper hardening.so it has higher strength, durability and has extreme resistance to abrasion. The strong antioxidation makes it hard to rust to have a long service life. Because of the unique design of the gear sprocket exclusively for mountain bike, you can control the shift function well.
* We adopted the hollow design, and the weight is reduced to some extent. The surface made by the technology of chrome plating. There is no fading on the plated surface. And the surface of silver-black has a fine appearance and will give you a luxurious feel.
